I am a huge 360 fan but I mean this just may make me go buy a Wii I love the classic Mario side scroller
Actually, I've pretty much stopped caring (for the time being) that people refuse to read what the theory says. I now enjoy these accidental groundbreaking discoveries with the few thousand people on the planet who are not afraid to read things which they fear might not be true. I've spent an inordinate amount of time trying to be patient with the Digg folks. I think you guys actually do have the potential to understand what a plasma is, and why the astrophysicists are screwing this up. But, you have to also realize that the APOD is virtually the propaganda wing of NASA (that is my own humble opinion of course). We are paying NASA to figure out the truth, and NASA is paying the APOD to convince everybody that the truth is what they say it is -- and not any alternative against-the-mainstream theories which may appear in IEEE's Transactions on Plasma Sciences. The APOD is actively convincing people that papers in IEEE are not worthy of astrophysical or cosmological consideration. And yet, IEEE is the world's largest scientific institution. Yes, many of those members are *engineers*. But, you know what? Engineers at least have to make products which work. When astrophysical models don't work, they just get funding to make a new model. There's in truth no penalty to a scientist's reputation for making a bad model. Astrophysicists are judged to be successful based on what their astrophysical peers think of their work. It's literally a bunch of people sitting in a circle deciding who has the most entertaining ideas. Meanwhile, some plasma physicists have been trying since Hannes Alfven's 1970 Nobel Physics acceptance speech to convince the astrophysicists that they are incorrectly modeling cosmic plasmas as gases.

“The problem is that it produced people like you who think that it's wrong to search for information before answering a question. It's good to have an opinion, but wrong to think that yours is the only one that matters.

"genetically engineered" suggests they are real flies....
Can't digg you up enough. It's incredibly annoying to have those ads go off, even when I'm in another tab. It's just about to drive me away from digg, at least until the ad campaign is over.!

OK but those are porcupines.?
I'm not so sure she's just being paranoid dude. You set up a tripod after obviously noticing that there was a chic living there and then you took a picture after you finished setting up your camera. You might be a stalker. |

If it takes 10,000,000 straws to break a camel's back, and the camel "naturally" has 9,999,998 straws on it's back, is adding 2 straws significant or not? It's a tiny percentage of the total number of straws, but nonetheless it has a great effect that wouldn't have occurred otherwise. The current problem, though, is more like wondering if it's safe to add 2 straws to the camel's back, when you know how many are already there, but you don't know how many it will take to break its back. Those 2 could still do it...or maybe they won't. If you only have 1 camel and you depend on it for your life, you might choose to be pretty careful about this.

It's illegal to deny a heterosexual couple the right to marry...The Supreme Court said so : Loving vs. Virginia is the case. So this Justice of the peace IS being both racist and breaking the law. |
