From my understanding, as it has already been used, purchasing one of these from a military surplus store or website would not be much different then buying an ammo box. This looks like something along the same lines:http://www.keepshooting.com/militarysurplus/collec ...
And remember guys...there are TONS of women out there just like this.

It'll help when two devices are sharing a single port, though..
The bailouts aren't doing too badly in terms of projections to at least break even. Provided there isn't another crash. Bailing out individuals would have been bailing out institutions by proxy without any chance of a return.!

Best route for hydrogen cars is probably something similar to the mercedes dual-fuel concept...a car that can burn either gas or hydrogen in exactly the same combustion chamber. That solves the chicken/egg problem with fueling stations. Stations can start to add hydrogen alongside gasoline because there will be cars available to use it, and manufacturers will be able to sell cars regardless of whether hydrogen filling stations are ubiquitous yet.I'm not sure why everyone is so hard on hydrogen these days. It's still a good idea. So is pure electric. But both have issues to work out. Pure electric requires batteries, which suck, have ***** range (if you want them to be affordable) and take hours rather than minutes to charge. Hydrogen has to solve the fuel supply problem and the cell cost problem. I say let them both keep trying. Whichever one wins in the marketplace is better than what we've got now.?
Let the price gauging begin. |

battery swaps don't have much hope of becoming a reality, either. They force too many design constraits on the manufacturers. Fuel tanks have a standardized fill mechanism, but every one is shaped differently to match contours of the underbody. The manufacturers don't want their hands tied on how they can design the car which is what a battery swap would force them to do unless somehow we managed to make the batteries REALLY small, which is pretty unlikely. Also the batteries have to be kept in a very safe location to protect them during collisions. You can't have them too close to the exterior because they're a major hazard if they're ruptured in an accident.Hydrogen has some loss points, yes, but so does any energy transfer scheme. It all depends on what your hydrogen source is.

No, it is not an ARM. We had a 5/1 ARM at 5.125, but we just modified it to a 5 year FIXED at 3.99% amortized over 30 years, meaning there is a balloon payment at the end of 5 years (which you can refinance or modify the loan again, although modification is not guaranteed). However, we are planning on moving out of the state in 3-4 years so the balloon payment doesn't matter to us.It is costing us 1 extra monthly payment to modify the loan(approx $1,100), but over the 3 years we plan to stay in the house it will save us approx $15,000 in interest payments and we'll end up with about $7,000 more equity in the home.Basically it was a no-brainer.Obviously this type of mortgage is not for everybody or situation. However in our case it is perfect. |
