I doubt the DVD would be any more likely to break than any other packaging. Apple made a good job of making sure the disc is flat with no pressure points on the surface and the cardboard is quite stiff. Apple stated that they were making efforts to reduce the amount of packaging. It is interesting to look at the box my old iBook G4 came in compared with those they ship the new MacBooks in which must be half as thick.
Not self righteous at all, each to there own. It was mere observation.I personally can't see the point of putting yourself through that misery. And FTR: I am actually pretty chilled.

The Therac-25 bug was a race condition? My understanding was that it just a bug where if you enter one value, then backspaced to erase it and entered another, it used the first value instead of the corrected one.How is this a race condition?.
