You know, as much as i'd love to give the FCC credit. When your government is passing legislation like the DMCA and the like, i'm pretty sure you can count the FCC among those who will gladly accept monetary contributions for the "right" cause. And unfortunately, I doubt they are working for the public favor. The question is not whether or not the FCC will rule against this sort of thing. But rather, if the Media Industry and Hollywood will pony up the cash to influence the FCC's decision. I mean if you bother to look at the history of lockouts and attempts to ***** us all a little harder then you'd see that there is already a long history of examples that show this sort of lockout will come. It's just a matter of when. Naturally, however, the Internet will continue to provide a steady stream of workarounds and alternative sources for these things.In the end it's a wash. Nothing changes. The media industry marks another win on their books, and we all get ***** again. Or rather, those who actually PURCHASE content do.
