i went gold panning in the Arizona mountains with my dad in the 80s. he thought we'd get rich. he even went so far as to buy some dynamite and blow the living hell out of someone elses land. we found no gold, but had a good time (this was before i was aware of property rights and stuff) and found some peridot and chyrsocolla.
The Therac-25 bug was a race condition? My understanding was that it just a bug where if you enter one value, then backspaced to erase it and entered another, it used the first value instead of the corrected one.How is this a race condition?

“Seeing as it's about a gazillion times sweeter than cane sugar, if you can't taste it, you should probably have your tongue replaced.

What's with this new trend of infographics that are just a giant wall of text? Infographics are supposed to be designed to make information more easy to understand and visually appealing, not harder to read in a multi-coloured mashup..
Any such policy about "appropriate attire" essentially boils down to this: women may wear skirts. Men can not. that's gender discrimination. Not to mention that Scotsmen wear kilts (some do anyway) and that isn't considered cross dressing. This has nothing to do w/alternate lifestyles. If they passed a rule that said women couldn't wear pants (which is the exact same idea only in reverse) there's be a storm of protest. If they want to say "no sweatpants" that's different because it applies to all genders equally. the fact that there are no women students is irrelevant. you can't tell a man that he can't wear something that there would be no issue with a woman wearing. I wonder if the rules apply to faculty to? If so, I presume there are female teachers, and I presume that some wear skirts.!

John D. Murtha airport. Take one look at the poverty level and justify John D. Murtha airport.GA *is* important, and I love it, but the government did not invent GA, and society's wont for GA will sustain it without the government forcibly extracting monies from society to finance it.Don't kid yourself. Politicians serve politicians.
