Notice how you didn't see this kind of hysteria back in the 90's?The back of the envelope thing was the ratio of expected death counts in a modern setting. That's 5% dead from 1918 spanish flu (of today's 6.7b ~= 339 million deaths), divided by the 0.00022% of today's population expected to be killed by swine flu, based on the current rate (I generously assume about 15,500 eventually end up pushing daisies in Mr. McGregor's garden.). This differs in the 200x ratio expected from the raw virality (20%/0.1%) because of the actual infection rates. 1918 didn't just kill more of the people who got it, it also affected a much, much larger segment of the population, hence the 22k.Good thing 'being aware' will protect me from being killed!
A creator is not a simple idea. It creates a huge amount of questions for the logical person. Hell, it creates a huge amount of questions for anybody. It's also beside the point - if you assume that there is a creator and he is unknowable, then you also assume that you can't predict his plans or his future actions. That means it's not a theory at all and Occam's razor doesn't apply.
