ARTIST'S STATEMENT

The paintings, collages and sculptures I create are all influenced by my life and life experiences. I take real or imagined places and objects and transform them with pattern, color and images that convey an overall sense of place and time. They convey a thought or an emotion, a shared experience. From interior scenes, portraits, social settings, statements of mind, reflections on the past and present I attempt to connect with the viewer not only visually but through my feelings. I have been creating artwork for over 40 years and have had numerous shows and awards and have been in many juried exhibitions. My artwork is in public and private collections across the country.
