I am a passionate, fairly new artist - as of eight years ago, I had never touched a paintbrush or sketched. Fortunately, a woman from my yoga class offered me an “energy healing” to “open up my creativity.” After a session with her, I ran across some of my daughter’s old acrylics and decided to try painting. I was immediately enchanted and began my journey as an artist.

My main focus is painting gentle, soft landscape scenes that soothe the soul. I love painting moons, sunsets, water, and fields. I’ve lived in Simsbury, Canton, and now Barkhamsted, and I am drawn to painting the beauty in the Valley and all of New England. I enjoy creating landscapes and vistas that “take you there.”

I have studied in classes and workshops with Shauna Shane, Paul Batch, Will McCarthy, David Dunlop, and Jim Grabowski. I work in oil or acrylic and focus on rich colors with an Impressionistic style.
